The Fiberglass Cover Stainless Steel Hollow Core Tadpole Gasket is a highly compressible thermal sealing profile designed for industrial oven doors, furnace access panels, ducts, dampers, thermal enclosures and other equipment requiring flexible sealing around uneven or changing gaps. The gasket combines a woven fiberglass outer cover with a hollow stainless steel core. Unlike a solid mesh or fiberglass rope core, the hollow metallic structure provides a lighter and more compressible bulb that can deform readily under closing pressure while retaining useful resilience after the load is released. Its bulb-and-tail construction separates the sealing and mounting functions. The hollow bulb forms the compression seal against the mating surface, while the flat fiberglass tail provides a convenient section for mechanical retention.
