The Fiberglass Cover Stainless Steel Core Tadpole Gasket is a flexible high temperature sealing profile designed for industrial oven doors, furnace access panels, thermal enclosures, processing equipment and OEM sealing systems. The gasket combines a woven fiberglass outer cover with a stainless steel internal core. The fiberglass cover provides thermal insulation, flexibility and abrasion resistance, while the stainless steel core supports the bulb profile and provides the resilience needed for repeated compression and release. Its characteristic bulb-and-tail construction separates the sealing area from the mounting area. When the door or panel closes, the reinforced bulb compresses against the mating surface to help compensate for surface irregularities and sealing gaps. The flat tail can then be mechanically retained using clips, screws, rivets, clamping bars or equipment-specific mounting systems.
