Shanghai, NingboAluminized Kevlar® Aramid Fabric for High-Temperature and Mechanical Protection
Aluminized Kevlar® aramid fabric is a high-performance protective material designed for applications that require simultaneous thermal shielding, mechanical strength, and long-term durability. Constructed from para-aramid fibers and treated with a specialized aluminized surface, this fabric reflects radiant and convective heat while maintaining excellent flexibility and structural integrity.
The material is particularly suitable for applications where the fabric itself must act as a protective and load-supporting layer under elevated temperature conditions, such as cable assemblies, hose protection, and industrial equipment covers exposed to intense heat sources.
The base fabric is woven from para-aramid fibers, which are inherently flame resistant and known for their high tensile strength, resistance to abrasion, cutting, and vibration. A thin, uniform aluminum coating is applied to the surface to enhance heat reflection and environmental resistance.
Unlike conventional aluminum foil laminates, the aluminized layer is engineered to resist cracking during bending and repeated movement. This design significantly improves durability and service life in dynamic applications.
Key construction features include:
Para-aramid woven fabric with high mechanical strength
Aluminized surface for radiant and convective heat reflection
Flexible fabric structure with excellent drapability
Permanent flame-resistant properties that do not degrade over time
Aluminized Kevlar® aramid fabric provides balanced performance in environments where high temperatures and mechanical stress coexist.
Designed for continuous operation in elevated temperature environments
Capable of withstanding short-term high-temperature peaks
Aluminized surface reduces heat transfer from radiant and convective sources
Excellent resistance to abrasion, cutting, vibration, and repeated movement cycles
In addition, the aluminized surface helps protect the underlying aramid fibers from UV exposure and environmental aging.
This aluminized aramid fabric is widely used in demanding industrial environments, including:
Welding robot and automation equipment covers
Metal foundries and high-temperature processing areas
Hose, pipe, and cable protective jackets
Thermal shields and industrial curtains
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, aprons, and neck protection
These applications often involve direct exposure to radiant heat, sparks, hot surfaces, and mechanical wear.
