Custom Sewn Zippered Bellows for Machine Protection

BSTFLEX Sewn Rectangular Bellows are custom flexible protective covers designed for machine ways, linear rails, ball screws, lead screws, actuators and other moving components with square or rectangular profiles. Their accordion-style fabric construction expands and compresses with machine travel while helping protect critical parts from dust, metal chips, abrasion, oil, coolant, sparks and heat.

Each rectangular fabric bellows can be customized in width, height, extended length, compressed length, stroke, fold geometry, material and mounting configuration. Available materials include coated nylon, silicone coated fiberglass, PTFE coated fiberglass, aluminized fiberglass and other technical fabrics for standard or high-temperature applications.

Custom flanges, mounting plates, reinforced ends, zipper or split designs are available for CNC machines, automation equipment, lifting systems and OEM industrial machinery.

Sewn Zippered Bellows

BSTFLEX Sewn Zippered Bellows are custom flexible protective covers designed for machinery where quick installation, inspection or maintenance access is required. An integrated zipper allows the bellows to open along its length so it can be fitted around an existing cylinder rod, shaft, screw, guide or actuator without completely disassembling the protected equipment.

During operation, the accordion-style fabric construction extends and compresses with machine movement while helping protect critical components from dust, metal chips, abrasive particles, oil, coolant, grease, sparks and heat.

This removable construction makes zippered bellows particularly suitable for replacement projects, maintenance-intensive machinery and equipment where conventional closed bellows are difficult to install.


Quick-Access Zipper Construction

The key advantage of a zippered bellows is service accessibility.

A conventional one-piece bellows may require removal of shafts, rods or other machine components before installation. A split bellows with a zipper can instead be opened, wrapped around the component and closed in position.
