Hydraulic Hose Protection

BSTFLEX manufactures and supplies hydraulic hose protection sleeves and guards for equipment OEMs, hose assembly suppliers, distributors and maintenance teams. Choose textile sleeves for abrasion protection, spiral guards for external wear and bundling, or thermal sleeves for hoses exposed to heat. The range includes nylon, polyester, polypropylene, HDPE, aramid, fiberglass and silicone-coated constructions, with product-specific sizing and customization options.

Choose by Protection Need

Start with the main exposure. Open the relevant product page for construction details and send your operating conditions for selection support.

Abrasion from Rubbing and Movement

Compare nylon hose sleeves, polyester protective sleeves, polypropylene textile sleeves and braided aramid sleeves for hose-cover wear.

Check: Abrasion source, movement, temperature and fit. Select by construction and relevant test data, not material name alone.

Spiral Guards for Exposed Hoses

PP spiral wrap guards and HDPE spiral hose guards wrap around individual hoses or bundles without removing fittings.

Check: Hose-fit range, wall thickness, flexibility and environmental requirements. PP spiral guards and PP textile sleeves are different constructions.

Removable Wraps for Finished Assemblies

Use a wrap-around nylon hose sleeve for abrasion-focused applications, or assess a hook-and-loop silicone fiberglass sleeve when thermal protection is required.

Check: Installation access, finished bundle size, closure overlap and the temperature limit of the complete wrap, including its closure.

Heat Exposure near Hot Equipment

Review hydraulic hose fire sleeves and knitted fire sleeves. Other constructions include fiberglass braided sleeves and aramid and ceramic fiber sleeves.

Check: Continuous temperature, exposure duration, heat-source distance and any flame or splash requirement. Ratings are product-specific.

Flame-Retardant Textile Requirements

Review the flame-retardant polyester hose sleeve when a standard abrasion sleeve does not meet the specified flame-resistance requirement.

Check: For MSHA-specified projects, request the approval details applicable to the quoted product. Do not infer burst-protection performance from flame resistance.

Mechanical Guarding at Contact Points

Consider a stainless steel spring hose guard where a metal protective structure is required around exposed hose sections.

Check: Guard diameter, coverage length, installation access and clearance through the full range of movement. Maintain the hose manufacturer's minimum bend radius.

Firesleeve finishing: Self-fusing silicone firesleeve tape is available for sleeve-end finishing. It is an accessory, not a pressure-rated hydraulic hose repair.

Check Size and Installation before Ordering

Measure the outside of the hose or bundle. Select against the product's stated sleeve inside diameter or hose-fit range. Lay-flat width is not the same measurement as inside diameter.

Check the installation route. A tubular sleeve needs end access and sufficient clearance to pass over any fittings in its path. For installed assemblies, consider a suitable wrap-around sleeve or spiral guard.

Match the complete assembly to the exposure. Confirm the sleeve, coating and closure limits. Abrasion resistance and flame resistance do not establish burst or pinhole-leak protection; those applications require specific system validation.

OEM Supply and Quotation

BSTFLEX supports standard and custom hose protection projects, including product-specific sizes, cut lengths, roll supply, identification printing and packaging options. Send a drawing, sample specification or application photo for review. Available options, minimum order quantity and lead time depend on the selected product.

Dimensions: Hose or bundle outside diameter, fitting dimensions where relevant, and required coverage length.

Working conditions: Temperature, abrasion source, movement, oil or chemical exposure, and required standards.

Installation: New or existing assembly, end access, and preference for tubular, wrap-around or spiral construction.

Order details: Quantity, cut lengths or rolls, color, printing, packaging and target delivery date.
