High Temperature Insulation Wools

BSTFLEX supplies high-temperature insulation mats, blankets and felts for industrial equipment and OEM thermal assemblies. Select fiberglass, silica, ceramic fiber, basalt or PAN-based carbon, then choose the construction required for fabrication and installation. Thickness, density and temperature suitability are confirmed for the selected product.

Choose the Insulation Material

Material and Product Selection Starting Point
Fiberglass Needle Mat A starting point for flexible insulation cores in equipment housings, fabricated jackets and thermal assemblies. Specify the glass grade, thickness and installed density.
Silica Needle Mat Consider for higher-temperature insulation assemblies where the selected fiberglass grade is unsuitable. Confirm silica content, thermal shrinkage and service conditions.
Ceramic Fiber Insulation Blanket For industrial furnace, oven and pipe insulation projects. Confirm fiber chemistry, temperature classification and installation requirements for the selected grade.
Basalt Fiber Needle Mat An option for equipment insulation requiring both heat and sound control. Specify thickness, density and exposure conditions before comparing performance.
PAN-Based Carbon Felt For specialist projects specifying PAN-based carbon felt. State whether operation is in air, vacuum or inert gas so grade suitability can be reviewed.

Choose the Construction

Stitch-bonded reinforcement: Compare our stitch-bonded fiberglass needle mat and stitch-bonded silica needle mat when additional reinforcement is needed for cutting, handling or fabrication. Confirm the sewing-thread specification as well as the base fiber.

Aluminum foil facing: Explore foil-faced fiberglass needle mat or foil-faced ceramic fiber blanket when the assembly needs a reflective surface. Check facing orientation, air-space arrangement and the temperature limits of the laminate.

Adhesive-backed installation: Choose adhesive-backed aluminum foil fiberglass insulation mat when a self-adhesive layer suits the mounting surface. Confirm substrate temperature, surface preparation and any requirement for mechanical retention.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

Provide continuous and peak temperatures, exposure duration, available insulation space and any vibration, compression or chemical contact. Select the complete construction, not just the fiber: foil, adhesive and sewing threads may have different limits. Request the relevant technical data and safety data before specification.

Request a Material Recommendation

Send your application, dimensions or drawing, target thickness and quantity. Ask about available densities, roll or sheet sizes, cut-to-size parts and die-cut shapes for your selected material. BSTFLEX can review material options and custom requirements before quotation.
